XMEN III (may eventually contain spoilers)

Music, movies, entertainment, etc. Because James wanted it (and seems like a pretty good idea)

XMEN III (may eventually contain spoilers)

Ah yeah! I dug it aplenty! Leech was a bit more like Powder and the ultimate demise of certain characters was apacrophyl.

And Juggernaut's line "I'm the Juggernaut, Bitch!"... was that a nod to the dubbed cartoon that made the rounds recently?

I thought the film was quite enjoyable. My primary criticism would be the over-abundance of the special effects. As eye popping as they were, they threatened to overrun the characters and the story. To me, the underlying themes and the characterizations are the best part of the whole XMen phenomenon, and a lot of it gets lost in the flash. I realize that many movies nowadays are made by geeky twentysomething video gamers who can't resist using every bell and whistle at their disposal. But they need to back off a bit and let the characters tell the story.

That, and where the hell is GAMBIT ?! Maybe next time...

That being said, it was a cracking good time at the movies.

They had a gambit slated for this one originally. But story line, actor's ego and budget all kind got in the way.

And what the heck with Angel's hype? He was hardly in the thing!

I just found out that the Beast was played by Kelsey Grammar! I knew I recognized him, but I couldn't put my finger on it.
