ACL lineup

Music, movies, entertainment, etc. Because James wanted it (and seems like a pretty good idea)

that line-up just seems kind of lame, IMHO.

it's half of last year's lineup with half of last year's bonnaroo lineup, plus this year's second-rate 'hip' bands. then again they're waiting a little bit to announce radiohead

im bitchy. i'm on the rag.

Austin, Texas + The Shins, The Flaming Lips, Ween, Ben Kweller, Galactic, The New Pornographers, Explosions in the Sky, The Secret Machines, Stars, Sparklehorse, The Black Angels, Guster, Willies Nelson = :D

Now if only we could win the lottery. :?

I'd probably attend just to see Aimee Mann and centro-matic. However, just the thought of the duststorm that will be that weekend in September makes me reconsider. Aimee will always come up here (the Gypsy loves her), and I can't even remember how many times I've seen Will at this point. I'm sure I'll get over it.

Any show on Sunday really risks becoming a health hazard. That was miserable last year. You'll have to be prepared:

Unless they come to their senses and schedule that festival in OCTOBER, I will never ever ever again consider going. Life is too short to be that miserable. I want air-conditioning and comfortable seating, thank you very much.

um HELLO BEN HARPER HELLO :P  you know that's all I need...the rest are just filler.

ok I'm a bit worried about the weather conditions...that doesn't sound fun...I do recall the nasty reports of extreme heat and such...I don't do well in heat...if I pass out, please make sure it's ben that gives me mouth to mouth...that's all I ask.

1. drink tons of water
2. bring a handkerchief to put over your face
3. sneeze dirt for 4 days
4. don't even waste time putting on make-up or doing your hair
5. wear sunblock
6. make sure it's the kind that doesn't sting your eyes
7. bring something to sit upon and find some shade between shows you need to stand up front for

If you don't mind those things, you'll be fine.

I shall heed your very wise suggestions....of course it will now probably rain...great I hate the rain as much as I hate the heat and the snow. I know, I know I'm fickle.  I don't mind fog too much. :P

so my ex who now lives in Austin...has agreed to my offer of putting me up and driving me round...if I buy his tix to the event. The ex is crap about music...so I also told him I get to pick all the bands we see.

I really need to think about the heat factor....I DO NOT do well in the heat. But it's Ben Harper...I am seeing him twice in Aug. here tho.

man oh man...decisions decisions.
