what's your favorite one-hit wonder song?

Music, movies, entertainment, etc. Because James wanted it (and seems like a pretty good idea)

Oooooh, I like "Closing Time."

Chumbawumba's "Tubthumping" makes me smile every time, as embarrassing as it is.

May I also include Kiki Dee's contribution to "Don't Go Breakin My Heart?" I know Sir Elton doesn't come close to counting as a one-hit wonder, but Kiki Dee does.

I'll go with that one, and I don't even think it's embarrassing.
(I play it whenever we go to Rockbottom to shoot pool. I love it.)

Cool Jerk.

(one thing I hate is professing how I've had aforementioned song stuck in my head for a month now, and the person I'm telling has never heard it.)

it's on my "to read" list, with 100,000 other books at the moment. I will get around to it though. I'm sure I'll relate to a lot of it.

As for Semisonic, I liked the previous band a bit better: Trip Shakespeare. What a great band.

Oh yes I have! mmmmmmmmm!

Even better, the giant garlic pretzels with cheese dip. (Except you better be with others who are eating it too 'cause you really stink like garlic afterwards :D ).

As far as another one hit wonder(though I think he had more hits in the UK) Rock On by David Essex. That song is the best blasting from the car radio.

My favorite is always going to be one of those songs that comes on the radio that I haven't heard for a long time. And it'll be that way until the next long lost one-hit wonder is played.

Currently, It's that Mmmmm-mmmmm song by The Crash Test Dummies.
