Pearl Jam on SNL

Music, movies, entertainment, etc. Because James wanted it (and seems like a pretty good idea)

Pearl Jam on SNL

Postby Sybil » Mon Apr 17, 2006 12:48 pm

Did anybody else see this? I have never been much of a Pearl Jam fan, but I am forced to admit, I think they just might still have something. Eddie Vedder can still stand up there and just defy you to take your eyes off him. I was impressed.

I saw their first performance but fell asleep before they took the stage the second time around.

The only impression I was left with was that they have aged quite a bit.

That's usually what happens to me. Look out, you're gettin' old. Next thing is you'll be telling those kids to turn down that damn noise!

actually, squeezle and I thought that Eddie looked a lot healthier than he did a decade ago. Perhaps he finally curtailed his drinking.

Everytime I've seen Pearl Jam in concert, they've been nothing less than spectacular. Which is amazing considering they just play rocknroll with no real special fx. I don't even care for a lot of their stuff, but still, they managed to bring it pretty well.

I completely agree. I was a huge fan when TEN came out, but then, I was also in the 7th grade. I didn't really think much of them, or even pay attention after junior high. Then after college (the first time), this girl I knew one day was like, "Hey, what are you doing tonight? I have two free tickets to see Pearl Jam at Starplex, and no one will go. You're going with me," and I was like, "Pearl Jam? Wtf??" But I went anyway, and they were amazing. I've never seen a Dallas crowd of that size be so responsive to anything, and I didn't know a lot of the new material, but it was all fantastic. It didn't make me into a current Pearl Jam fan, but I will always defend their live show.

Having seen Pearl Jam about a millions times I can honestly say that they put on the best damn show I've ever seen. From back in Nov. of 90 to this last one I will NEVER question their power to play and entertain live. I do have album favourites over others but this new one is damn brilliant. Eddie looks excellent as well Stone and even Mike is lookin healthier....skinny fucker. I'm already in line waiting for my tickets thank you very much.

Ahhhh, James....leave it to you to show the respect for the music even if it isn't your "style" my friend...that is why I love you. *Hugs*
