forever 21 sucks

Postby Phyllis » Fri Dec 05, 2008 4:09 pm

i am probably the only one here who shops at forever 21 but i must rant. you can turn back now if you like.

so, i like forever 21's clothes and i like shopping there because the prices are cheap/reasonable. but the nearest one is like a 30 - 40 minute drive so it is more convenient for me to shop online. anyway, i found what seemed to be a really good deal online. 8.80 for a simple but nice shirt that i liked. so i decided to order. well, it's like six bucks for shipping plus tax, so i practically pay for the shirt twice. but even then i'm like "yeah, whatever, i really want the shirt." then i don't even get the shirt for almost 2 weeks because UPS decides not to leave a note on my door, so it's been sitting in the apartment office for over 4 days. i go down to the office, pick up my package, come home and open it and...it's not the shirt i ordered. it's the same style, but a totally different color. i ordered yellow (i'm talking bright highliter yellow, here) and they sent me darkish green. the receipt they sent me said that i ordered green, even though the green color isn't even available online. UGGGH.

WTF, FOREVER 21. i hate you.

Online shopping can be the pits, thanks to shipping and warehouse mistakes.

Old Navy used to be good for online shopping, but they just upped their shipping prices and the quality of the clothes has dropped (yeah, I know, it's chepa to begin with.)

I do, however, like Forever 21 cheapy jewelry.

yeah i don't online shop TOO much because the shipping costs for most places is ridiculous.

i have always disliked overstock.com mainly because of their commercials with that reeeeeally unsexy lady trying to be sexy. creeped. me. out.

I buy cds on amazon all the time now... If you find a good dealer its so cheap. I'll order them all from the same person, brand new, and pay like $100 for 13 cds, including shipping. But i hate buying clothes online unless I've already tried it on in the store and i'm buying enough that i get free shipping.

...I love forever 21 though. It's cheap because they don't care about organizing anything or any kind of customer service.

I shop online a lot and don't have too many problems. I did have a problem once with a dress I returned.

I sometimes decide not to order online because the shipping is too expensive for the item, but if you're a regular customer they often have shipping deals or wave the costs. Zappos is really good about shipping, they usually upgrade you to next day when you order and returns are free.

basically, I suggest ordering multiple items to cover the cost of shipping and/or using companies that give you a break on the costs.

sorry you got screwed this time tho miss p.

I have some stuff from Forver 21. And some semi-random kowledge about them. They steal people's designs, they've been sued by, like, everyone. And did you know all their bags have bible verses printed on the bottom (not the text of the verse, just the chapter / number)?
Maybe Jesus thought you'd look better in green.

That is bs. I hope you disputed that charge.

Also: the only clothes I buy online are T shirts. You just can't get a feel for fit and fabric online. Texture / weight of fabric is important.

forever 21 does suck but for way more reasons than you getting the wrong color on an overpriced t-shirt. they got taken to court over their factory conditions. they've been sued by about a bajillion people for ripping off designs. i wouldn't shop there even if i could squeeze my ass into their clothes.

i'd tell you to just go to buffalo exchange (forever 21's dumping ground when the hipster elite get bored), but they suck almost as bad.
