Nice, it reminds me of the mannequin's hand I have in my flat. My flatmate hates it as it really freaks her out.

In my old flat many years ago, we attached it to two broom handles and used to wave it out the window at people. We were a first floor flat, so the first thing people ever saw was a disembodied hand coming towards them.

...It's things like this that meant I didn't finish my degree, although I am graduating tomorrow (3 years late!).

It's not that much cause for celebration really. More, I didn't get a degree (I qualify for a HND, about as much use as toilet roll) but I thought it comes in handy as employers like to see certification and all that. My experience as a chemist nullifies my lack of formal qualifications now, so it is just drawing a line under the sand I guess.
