Jay Z's wonderwall

Music, movies, entertainment, etc. Because James wanted it (and seems like a pretty good idea)

I think it's awesome just as is.

Busting into rap would have predictable and boring. This, this was the perfect eff you.
definitely. The Gallagher brothers are fucking idiots (and will never be as good as Blur) and Jay-Z is a golden god.

i blame jay-z for the following horribly annoying songs:

- hard-knock life (ghetto anthem)
- can i get a (WHAT WHAT!!!)
- izzo
- no no no
- crazy in love

the last two are also beyonce's fault.
dread stuff

gotta agree with ya on this one, kiddo.
that's a totally wonderful album. 'champagne supernova' (er, 'soupernover') and 'don't look back in anger' bring a tear to this old lout's eyes...

not the biggest fan of Oasis in general but i can't begrudge them their successes and that album is awesomeness.

standing by it. that song is SO annoying. the horn plus the "uh-oh"s = me ripping my eyes out. beyonce should also cut it out with the "____ in love" theme, it's just horribly uncreative. the fact she won grammys for this song is mindblowing to me. in the bad way.

i'm with phyllis and mr. j on this one. i am not a jay-z connoisseur but the things i have heard have not impressed me at all. what by jay-z do you folks like, so i can check it out and see if i'm wrong?

'don't look back in anger'
One of the best sing-along-to-in-the-car songs evarr.

I like Oasis music better than Jay-Z's, but in this case, I side with Jay-Z. Noel G. was being a myopic wanker to deny the power of rap and Jay-Z's significance in 21st century music.

- Mere "and soooooooooo sally can wait" 1975

"You'll have to wait until my cameo in the next season for confirmation" - eebs
"I'm one of my favorite things!" - irock

that's what they are. I'll give them this tho, they were both wankers from the get go, "stardom" didn't really impact that much.

Also interesting and hard to explain to a brit, is the fact Americans (even tho we might like the music) don't care too much for those too in general. Where as in England (especially) they're "god-like". My theory is that, when they hit the states in the 90s, they're in-group fighting was just BS and americans couldn't really be bothered. At least that's how I felt. Plus tbh they (like rap artists) really just sampled tons of older stuff (i.e. Beatles)

agreed 100%. I'll go ahead and be pathetic and admit that the ooooooooh in autobiography by ashlee simpson reminds me of that part of don't look back in anger.

what's the story was the first cd I ever owned, so I'll always like it.

I've been meaning to get the black album but cd world never has it (bc they suck at stocking).

Hey Justin... did you know that Alex James from Blur moved to the country and now makes cheese?

Its called Little Wallop. I've tried to find it at Whole Foods/Neils Dairy, but haven't seen it yet. I think it is only in schmancy stores right now.
