My work might be sending me to Fresno in July.

Isn't that exciting?

Umm, Fresno is in California. That's a huge difference weather-wise. There is almost no reason to be in TX in July.

I thought that too but there's a Fresno in Texas as well, just south of Houston. Not sure what's there mind, looks like a small place.

Some training course, which will no doubt be terribly dull. I'm hoping for some time off, but I think I'm only going to be there for aobut 4 days at most.

Ugh. That's just horrible. The best way to prepare for anything like what it will be like near Houston in July is to spend your entire work day in a wet sauna with a few ashtrays of cigarette butts and fish heads.

fresno does indeed suck and it's HOT (like texas in july).

I can't imagine why a company would send an employee to fresno... unless you're a farmer or something.

[tanget]We have this Irish guy on site - been here a few weeks. He's 22 and I tried to send him to a Flametrick Subs show Saturday but I'm pretty sure he didn't go.[/tanget]

That is cool, I wish I got to travel international for work, then I would rule the AAdvantage miles.

woot. I go on the 20th although if me and Dalya go to Houston NASA we'll be about a week late :( Do you need a visa or an adult photo passport? Either way it's a cuntish wait. Bring reading material and no liquids, not even liquid explosives.

Michael, you always need a passport to travel to different countries. :P

...Looks like a day trip to London next Wednesday so the Irish embassy will fast track my application.

I know that you fud, I mean't do you need a work visa or just a new passport with a recent pic. Anyway, remember to pack bikinis because Texas summer heat + clothes = hotter than boydy's shed during sweat fest '92

Except there is a suburb of Houston called Fresno, and that's where he's going....I think.

If so, there's nothing that will make you scream for Europe faster than Houston, TX. For the fourth largest city in America, it's amazingly shit.
