the immigrant-run places are the ones that never have everything. they're deli/groceries and theyll have like a meat counter and some produce or dairy and dry goods but never everything in one place. and the produce is usually yuck, especially in brooklyn.

i want a really good hot dog but havent seen a street vendor yet.

whats klau kalash? that reminds me of the simpsons where homer drinks like 500 crab juices. ugh. crab juice sounds like vomit.

no celebrities yet, although steph's bro is in LA meeting with a couple of production companies who are interested in his work, so maybe he'll be a celebrity soon.

I've never seen someone coming SO CLOSE to getting the reference but failing so miserably.

nyc is great but even for performing artists, you don't want to go to new york before you're good enough to get steady work. the market is so oversaturated with people wanting to work that you really need a decent resume to get anything good. unless you're ridiculously lucky and talented.

where exactly in the city do you live? dalya, for real, if you haven't been to the village, you need to go because you'd love it there. it's expensive (what isn't, though?) but it's such a cool, hip area.

i live in dallas, im just trying to transfer to NYU for next year. I'm staying with steph in brooklyn and i'll probably live here unless we can find a place in manhattan that we can afford, which will never happen. i love the village, but its too expensive! i got my favorite necklace at a store there the last time i came. plus the marc jacobs store is there. and sarah jessica parker.

my dream if money was not an issue is to live on park or maddison avenue, not because of the status but because the buildings in that area are so beautiful. the architecture is just gorgeous. plus i could go to the met every day (and still never see everything in it).

MOMA tomorrow and an exibit in central park about slavery in nyc. there's also the museum of sex, which i really want to go to, but tickets are like $16. annoying.

tally of israelis i've met so far: 4
tally of times i've gotten on the wrong train or missed my stop: 3
total dollars spent so far: over $1,000

i think the MOMA guard would do it for free. he used the "arent you an actress?" line. amazing. i felt like the girl in Fame who ends up crying as she strips on camera.

i know. i love Fame. I actually think the better best worst scene is when the cab driver dad blares his kid's song from the roof of his cab and the entire school starts dancing in the street. HAHAHAHAH. i want to rent that right now.
