Dear place of employment
If you are going to delay start time due to the non-existant inclement weather, please have the decency to at least issue the alert before I freaking leave the house!
That is all.
That is all.

Yeah, there was really no bad weather for me this morning, but the folks coming from the north had very snowy cars. And my friend who decided it would be a good idea to live out in BFE (also known as Haslett) CLAIMS there was ice on the roads.
Last night driving through the snow on my way to school was priddy. But then it turned to sleet and was ugly.

Roads in our part of FW were totally clear at 6:45 am when taking kid to quintet practice though there was snow on the grass. (Why are we always there before the band director arrives to unlock the door?)
The snow on the grass melted before 10 am and I don't think we'll get anymore as they were suggesting we might.

Dear Co-Workers at My Beloved Place of Employment:
Which one of you is the mother fucker that stole or trashed my chili! It was in new, clean container in the fridge for all of one day, unlike the 200 pounds of half-rotten left overs and lean cuisines that aren't making a dent in the size of your already dent-ridden asses. That was serious chili, hand trimmed chuck roast cubed and browned in bacon fat with dried ancho and new mexico chilis, oregano, fresh jalapeños, serranos and habañeros and three hours of simmering. If I ever find out who you are I will take make my own little compound from the aforementioned spices and apply liberally to all openings.

Hifi, if you'd like to know how the chili was, come on over.
My place still smells strongly of cumin and ancho, which is GREAT at dinnertime, but the rest of the day. . .
The chili was delicious, even without the kidney beans.

There's no such thing as "yankee chili". There's chili and then there's chili beans. Both are acceptable and as Texan as the San Antonio Chili Queens who originally served it.Hifi, if you'd like to know how the chili was, come on over.
