oh it'll be jan 25-26 and I may stay the weekend though I am undecided about that.

As a former resident of Bedford, aka Deadford, I can recommend the following:

come one, there has to be at least seedy dive bars with decent beer selections. I like seedy.

ok I'll have a rental car, and will travel. probably will head down to austin at some point as I do have some friends there, and would love to check out that town. I will have a co-hort with me as well I think we might have to raise a ruckus texas style

Then you'd dig the Lakewood Landing.

Which is nowhere near Bedford.

No, but Bedford is about 10-15 min from downtown Ft Worth, which means you should definately go to the Flying Saucer.

Don't listen to James, he's just grumpy because he can't get Dairy Queen in the UK.

ok I took a look further, and where I am training is directly south of DFW like less then a mile from the different colored blog in google maps. It looks like I may go for the DFW marriott south since it is close to the real reason I am going down there.

people actually eat dairy queen? I would be more upset at not being able to get ranch dressing in the UK than dariy queen.

1) You can get ranch dressing in the UK. You just have to look really hard for it.

2) I don't miss Dairy Queen that much. The only thing you should eat from Dairy Queen are the ice cream-related products.

3) Seriously, Bedford sucks for things to do. Nice place to live: cheap and mostly quiet. But nightlife, you need to go somewhere, because it's definitely Suburbia. But then I'm spoiled now because there are lots of things to do all the time where I live...

I hope you have a rental car. Go into Dallas one night, Fort Worth another night...make forkers take you drinking. When in January is this?

That's a nice place, pretty new. It's about 4 miles from my place. You like roller coasters? They don't have beer, but the Titan @ Six Flags is pretty cool (if they still run the rides during Holiday in the Park).

rental car for sure. I have traveled for business before, and I hate just sitting in my room waiting to go home.

I will be there the 24-26 in Jan. tainnd doesn't start until 1pm the 25 but i don't like working very much so i will go the day before.

you know I have a whole theory about the UK and they were bent on world domination a while ago just because their food is really aweful. once they got to India, they were happy. thus ended world domination...

is it perfect? no, but that is what I like about it

The same can be said replacing "UK" with "USA" and "India" with "Mexico".

it's not 100% thatis where We will be. I am waitng to get confirmation on the training before booking. I found the companies address online, but I am not sure if that is the location or not. I am thinking it is, but i am not sure.

Well, the Fat Stock Show will be in Fort Worth then. They have animals, a rodeo, midway rides, and beer. There ya go!

Probably shitty weather as well.

Sybil

p.s. Yes, I know they don't call it the "Fat Stock" show anymore, but I can never remember the more modern, advertiser approved name.
Are you on the list?

Can you bring me a suitcase full of Tastykakes?
