The Brick Testament

Postby mere1975 » Thu Nov 23, 2006 12:52 am

Have you guys seen this?

I am using it as a source for my project. (I made a parody of some Mondrian paintings with Legos.)

This made me laugh out loud: look out, Judas!

I LOVE this one. Who would have thought that a lego character's expression could so perfectly sum up the "i've just been left outside to get gang-raped by a huge group of men" look on her face.

EDIT: I AM SURE THAT THIS IS NOT ALLOWED

I love this site. The guy who does it was on This American Life a few years ago.

So basically, every woman I have ever met in a Church has been against the will of God becuase they were unveiled

I didn't actually believe this until I actually looked it up the verses...wow.

What about a yarmulka? How does that fit in?

Yep, it's in 1 Corinthians, which is one of a series of letters by Paul to various people; in this case....The Corinthians!

It specifically states that man should not cover his head in the church but that a woman should at all times, and not speak, for it's not her place.
1 Corinthians 11 and 14 cover this and it's pretty clear.

this is what a friend of mine refers to at the "tyranny of Paul"
