was taken much earlier than i would have guessed... 1946!

yup, from a camera mounted on the nose of a V2 shot from White Sands Missle Range. I lived there from '75 - '78 before we moved over the Organ Mountains to Las Cruces. Driving from Las Cruces to Alamogordo was always an adventure because you never knew when the Army was going to block the highway to test one of their crazy toys. I nearly crapped myself once when a Delta Clipper glided over the highway about a mile in front of us once.
