I don't give a shit what the movie is about because I already know it's going to be awesome.

That's right, with just a few household products and instructions off the internet, you too can build disruptive discharge transformer coils in your backyard! But watch out there, little Timmy, most insurance companies don't cover extended stays in burn units!

And, here I thought Tesla was just a cheesy band.

Poor Ed Norton. Who's going to want to see The Illusionist now?

My sister was on a field trip to the Science Place in junior high when the tour guy shocked himself badly with the tesla coil. Everybody thought he was playing a joke on the group, until he started wimpering for an ambulance.

Wow, is Debbie Downer in the house?

I never knew about Tesla until I heard the band, but they were pretty good at spreading the word about him through liner notes and pics and such. And they rocked for about 3 albums. :P

Oh, and thanks, Chris for the Bowie film update! I like Bowie as an actor.

I'm imagining a very aloof and subtly quirky performance. Not Oscar worthy, but a nice addition to the ensemble. Someone ought to make a movie just about Tesla, maybe historical fiction. Isn't there a comic with him as a character?
