Face Peg Sport

Postby Jan » Sat Jul 15, 2006 12:11 am

I've been talking to one of my work collegues about an idea for a sport...

Basically it's how many clothes pegs you can stick to yr face. But we did realise that everyone's face size/shape is different, so an average would ahve to be determined and contestants given a handicap. Plus, the pegs would all have to a of consistant size and "peggage".

What do people think? Is this a good idea for a sport? Have we missed out anything obvious?

I played that in school. Not so much as a sport but more of a distraction from boredom.

I do know that Guiness maintains a world record for most pegs on face, but I don't know their policy regarding handicaps involving facial surface area. I also don't know if they aren't accepting new entries for safety reasons like they've done with sword-swallowing.

All I'm saying is Americans would much rather see a 16 year old girl in tight spandex bang her cervix against a long uneven bar than see 22 grown men in tube socks and shin guards play "footie" with each other.

However, since some of you Forkers seem fascinated with swarthy men and their balls, I thought Bocce might satisfy your needs AND attract the interest of us non-footie fans. Besides, you can drink beer and play Bocce at the same time:
