Austin is a 3-hour drive from Dallas. If Turner is up for it, maybe we can work something out. . . or Rebecca/Logan? What if I drove halfway to San Antone with Phyllis and Steve -- could we make a prisoner exchange??

The street party mentioned earlier was in east Dallas for 4th of July, near the Lakewood Country Club. I don't know of anything formal -- I think it was just Turner's neighbors getting together and watching fireworks??

Steve, I don't want you to be bored to tears either but I am going to have to work the 3rd and 5th. There's no buses in Arlington and nothing except a few gas stations in walking distance, but we have two pools and a workout room (and a dry sauna, if it's just not hot enough!). There is a hotel in walking distance though, and come to think of it they run a shuttle from there but it may just be for guests... I'll try and find out for you.
I'll have the 4th off, so if there's time before the football game we can do something in Ft Worth or Dallas, whatever.

After chatting with Sunny and the Bowerseses, I think Wednesday, July 6 works for Forkers Day at Six Flags. Without Phyllis. Oh well.

I can get tix through work for $32.39. Can anyone get a better deal than that?

I'm TRYING to get hold of the bursar's office but it keeps ringing busy. I think there are UTA discounts.

The 7th is best at the moment, in case the girl-child is chosen to be a program aide at camp the following week. But she should be calling tomorrow to see if it's gonna be a go - so I'll let you know this week for sure in case you have to juggle anyone else's schedule.

Steve, you ARE welcome to stay in Fort Worth but we are pretty boring most of the time.

Yes we are! Moving date tentatively scheduled for the weekend of 6/25. Can't hardly wait. Anybody who wants to help is more than welcome.

There should be plenty of room for sweet Steve - we might still be stepping over boxes, but it will be fun.

I might have a show for you Steve. My son has a friend who has a band, and they have a gig scheduled in Denton while you're here. They're pretty good, and I've known the guitar player since he 8 years old! At any rate, the price should be right, and it should be "all ages". If not, I will adopt you.

I'm going to see about some time off from work, and I'll look forward to seeing Steve and some of the other Forkers as well.
