Aaw, and the kid I used to babysit is paying $98734688676 to see Bjork in Chicago. I'm sure he won't mind shelling out again to see her though.

Other than that - Decemberists.

hmmm I don't know cuz the only US tour dates are east coast (as they're hitting canada around that time. I'm sure they'll announce some more dates soon though...new albums = major tours.

due to his post Rene Zellweger "deal" Jack will never grace Dallas. He spent enough time in the Mansion at Turtle Creek doing one-off shows at little clubs in Deep Ellum (sorry if you missed those) to feel a wee bit of hurt doing D-town now.

Sometimes celebrity gossip pays off in a good way.

That is an amazing lineup. I just hope none of the artists expires from heat stroke. Call me when they move the festival to late October.

Okay, the schedule is up.

I need opinions on what we absolutely shouldn't miss.

ok let me start with the fact that I'm SUPER jealous.

1st day, don't know a lot of the earlier bands. my votes are for QOTSA, but I also really like Spoon, so maybe you can do a drive by at each. 30/30. Then head over to Kaiser Chiefs...you will not regret this.

2nd day: Willy Mason, Andrew Bird, Amy Winehouse, ARCTIC MONKEYS, Muse (again 30/30 cuz they're on the same time), Clap Your Hands, Arcade Fire, The white stripes.

3rd day: Rodrigo & Gabriela, Bloc Party, Amos Lee, that's all I got for day 3 I guess. Plus chance are you're gonna be TIRED.

Have fun!

qotsa vs. spoon?
andrew bird vs. midlake?
arctic monkeys vs. muse?
clap your hands say yeah vs. the arcade fire vs. the white stripes?
wilco vs. my morning jacket?

suck.
