the worst thing about a new job...

Postby mr_j » Thu Jul 20, 2006 5:30 pm

...is waiting to find out if you got it. it's esp. hard if you're unemployed at the time, and you have nothing to do but wait by the phone. i talked to two places this past week, and i'm now waiting on that all-important phone call, and the waiting part is driving me CRAZY. ugh! hurry up and let me know, people.

what shall i do in the meantime? i got no computer at home, and i hate to watch TV....

make sure the answering machine is working and doesn't have the short version of the big lebowski ready for the caller.... then head out somewhere quiet and enjoy the tranquility.

Get a job you couldn't give two shits about and quit on your first day.

I'm really considering this just for the sake of adventure.
