Photography ban

I thought about making it "shport" in general, but I really don't care about the others.

Photography ban

Postby eebs » Wed Sep 01, 2010 5:15 pm

This season Scumhampton have decided not to allow press photographers entry to take pictures of their home games, only allowing them to purchase pictures from their official source.

Regional and National papers have decided that they aren't going to play ball as it's not in their best interest - so they've had to come up with ways of reporting on the matches without them.

The first brainwave was from Plymouth and their comic strip efforts

Last night, Swindon beat them 3.0 and decided to use Subbuteo for one of the most inspired photos I've seen in a longtime.

I think I like this better than pictures anyway.

nice experiment, but Southampton needs to realize that they just aren't going to be able to pull that off. Who are their sponsor? That's gotta cheese them a bit.

They haven't got a shirt sponsor this season - deciding to keep their shirts ad free for their 125 year anniversary and changing the shirt from red and white stripes to a peru '78 style kit.

Found this online as well -

Be interesting to see if they keep it up next season when a sponsor is likely to be back on the shirts.
