Why do presidents always feel the need to throw out first pitches? I suppose at least he got it straight, but man, it always sucks, no matter the president.

I don't know. . . GW did a pretty nice job in Yankee Stadium to begin the first game back after 9/11. They talked about it quite a bit last week.

The most paranoid out there seem to think both things, but that doesn't work if commies are all atheists. I mean, the one guy who knows without a doubt that there is a god would be the antichrist.

Didn't they used to consider left-handedness a sign of the devil or something? I remember my mom telling me her grandfather was left-handed but they re-trained him to be right-handed because it was "evil". Same with my great uncle, who wrote right-handed but was lefty in all sports.

I thought it was just considered 'deviant,' and if left unchecked could lead to other 'deviant' behavior - and then obviously to anarchy. Even my mom was trained not to use her left hand.

As it turns out, after a bit of research and asking around, it happened to one of my uncles as well. And according to my mom, they really did believe that. My brother actually forced one of his kids to write with his right hand despite his obvious tendencies to favour his left in pretty much everything. Crazy.
Looking back at the left-handed presidents, there were seven. The first was James A Garfield, who was number 20. I wonder if there were some previous forced to write with their right hand (apparently Reagan was left handed in everything else apart from writing, so it probably happened to him too).
What an odd thing to do.
