Sixties Korean Showcase

Let's start with the incindiary Kim Jung-mi who makes me wish I was born out of my time.

Now a clip of a performance by the Pearl Sisters from the movie 'Naeilui Paldogangsan' (Tomorrow's Korea)

A brief commerical break:

Finally, the Elder Statesman of Korean Psychedelic Rock, Shin Jung-Hyun. This guy still performs, he's like a glowing buddha with a stratocaster.

This is the real shit; it makes me nostalgic for things I can't even imagine being around for.

Did you know you are racist for not replying to this thread?

This is more seventies but it's still good. Actually, most of this is seventies. The sixties... never really happened in Korea.

I just want to talk about the commerical I posted for a bit because it confuses and disturbs me more each time I watch it.

I mean, we got anthropomorphic frogs, drunken sailors operating a vehicle under the influence, Hawaiian babes (?) in the same TV spot... oh, and a song. What the fuck?

I need Kim Jung-mi to sort my head out.

LOOK AT HER MOVES. there has never ever been a sexier living woman.
and now, Yoon Bock Hee's gonna give it to you hardcore old-school

Finally, flash-forward to the future of obscure Korean indie pop.

one fun thing to do while you are high is play pokemon while you listen to gangsta rap, because pokemon is all about the hustle. it's a very immersive experience

i started out with bulbasaur and nicknamed him 'ol dirty' and gave all my pokemon wu-tang clan nicknames until i ran out, now i encompass all hip-hop. i nicknamed the ghost one 'tupac'.

bulbapedia is increasingly becoming my favourite website on the internet. none of the ridiculous lists on wikipedia can compare to their list of reasons why it's so obvious misty like ash in the cartoon.
