Sixties Korean Showcase

Music, movies, entertainment, etc. Because James wanted it (and seems like a pretty good idea)

in honour of korea being theo nly east asian nation where christmas is a holiday, i bring a gift of song to you. also, i have too many pot in my life and am too dizzy to leave my room.

Here's a band I don't know doing a halfway-decent cover of Han Dae-su's 'Mool Jom Juso!' (gimme some water, for chrissakes)

This is a band from Japan with a Korean name. There's also a Korean in the band. I... I don't know about this one. This is stretching it a lot.

I'm posting this video here not because I'm so culturally insensitive that I assume that the asian-looking characters in the title screen are enough to qualify this clip as "Korean," but because - oh wait that is why.
And because Tom Jones is a superhero.

we need some more jams in here

this is a song about a soldier coming home after fighting in vietnam. i think it's notable since the korean army in vietnam basically shot up vietnamese no matter what side they were on.
