Jose Gonzalez

Music, movies, entertainment, etc. Because James wanted it (and seems like a pretty good idea)

Yes indeed. He was played to me around this time last year, and then he played homefires II in may. We saw him last november on the twisted folk tour, about a month before the advert blew him clean out of the water. He completely upstaged king creosote, who was headlining.
The album's good, get it.

And you HAVE to check out The Knife, who are the swedish electro duo who wrote that commercial song. Their new album, Silent Shout, is amazing.

yeah a mate sent me his album last year...good stuff. However, I seem to be missing him or have missed his show in SF....god I'm so lazy about gigs this year.

Ooh, just thought I'd join to say that me and Ma are going to that festival!
First checked up on it on the final day of the tickets being cheaper (£65), and decided to buy tickets then, and with the camping only being £1 extra, it's a total bargain. Really looking forward to it.

Back to Jose- we saw him at Homefires last year, having never heard of him before. He was darn impressive at his guitar, and everyone clapped like mad after each song. Didn't quite love him enough to buy anything, but Ma later bought the dvd single version of that commercial song for the video.

His album is awesome and totally worth the investment.
