me too. i couldn't watch most of the movie cause shakey-cam made me want to vomit. i didn't think it would bug me but it did, a lot. i was pretty upset the night we went to see it, though, so maybe that had something to do with it.

but i liked what i did see. i don't love monster movies, but i didn't hate this one. that's something, i guess. just sort of wish i didn't spend $10 to listen to a movie.

I thought it pretty much sucked!

It didn't start to get halfway descent until about midway when they were in the subway tunnels.

Didn't give a damn about any of the characters, we never find out what and were the monster came from, nor do we even get a good look!

I thought it was way too gimmicky, but I have to hand it to Abrahms for the marketing. Just wished it lived up to the hype!

I wouldn't say that.

Major plot details are still safe.

Aw, but that's what I thought were the strongest points. What do you mean no good look at the monster? You get the money shot when he comes down on them in Central Park.

I'm very much over shakey-cam.
Not when it is Michael J. Fox at the controls.

I prefer Michael J. Fox playing Tambourine in a band!

Did you think about 9/11 at all during the movie? I did not, surprisingly.

Manohla Dargis from the New York Times did and even went so far as to call it a tacky allusion. "[The images] may make you think of the attack," Dargis said, "and you may curse the filmmakers for their vulgarity, insensitivity or lack of imagination."
