Live Earth

The Foo Fighters just rocked, but otherwise, this whole thing is a crock of shit. I'm listening to the Pussycat Dolls talking about global warming. It's like the Miss Universe pageant but even more fake. Nevermind all the lights and electricity they're using to put this show on....

There was a panel discussion on NPR where they were talking about how these festivals are happening way to often to have much of an impact anymore.

Any one remember Live 8?

we're sending the arctic monkeys to SF for that one (via a 26 week canoe journey including a 2 week tree planting diversion to keep those carbon emissions down)

monkeys + arctic = no polar ice cap?
