Dan Deacon

Music, movies, entertainment, etc. Because James wanted it (and seems like a pretty good idea)

Anyone heard/seen him? I've just watched a lot of his vids on youtube and the songs are really catchy and he seems really good live. I've just been on his site and he's actually playing at the cavern tonight. For some reason I can picture Roach off his tits enjoying his live show.

thanks for the link. I'm listening to Spiderman of the Rings and Wham City is so good, sounds a bit like Danielson. I think I've found a new musical love.

here is a link for anyone who wants to get their musical erection back http://hypem.com/search/wham click on the listen link next to dan deacon.

The man is awesome. His music is better.

What's great about him is that he dances that line between bat-shit, unlistenable crazy and immediate, uncontrollable, ridiculous joy. I've got to be in a certain frame of mind to really get into it, but Deacon hits a spot that Danielson and Animal Collective don't.

He's touring the US this summer, but he doesn't come within 4 hours of my residence. I'm still trying to convince motherfuckas to go, but it's a hard sell for music and experiences that may just be too sweet for some ears and minds, respectively, to comprehend.
