Has anyone heard the new version of "One" by U2 with Mary J. Blige guesting on vocals? I like it. She makes some really expressive interpretative choices with the melody. Brings a whole new dynamic to the song. She's not the greatest singer, but she's got boatloads of soul and she makes good use of it.

Any other thoughts? Can anyone recommend some other Mary J. stuff I might like?

Where's Joe Butcher to mash up these versions of "One"....what would be even better is if he could manage to work in the Johnny Cash version of the U2 version as well...

 I can just imagine you giving Justin a blank look, repositioning yourself in your seat and asking the exact same question. Ha!

And here I was, singing "one is the loneliest number that you'll ever do. . . "

- Mere "it's just no good anymmore since you went away" 1975

P.S.
I don't know anything good about Mary J. Sorry.

I played that exact video at the bowling alley the other day. Man, I used to be into Three Dog Night. We sang most all of their songs in grade school glee club.
"Jeremiah was a bullfrog..."

As did I.

Back to the original song, I haven't heard it. I've never cared for Mary J Blige because, well, frankly, she bores me. But I'm always keen to hear things.
