OK, so the new iPod ad has been driving me crazy for about 3 days. That damn earworm of a song gets stuck in my noggin and I find myself humming it to myself whilst plunking away at my daily drudge. There is some other odd commercial here w/ scary cutout people (I think for cars or something) that has done the same damn thing.

Sooooo, today I go digging for the tunes in that damn Apple ad. Who did I find? The Fratellis. I set about procuring some of said band to get my brain back in its right place (Costello Music is the record), pop it over to track 2 and get my fill of "Flathead" so I can stop succumbing to the will of Steve Jobs. Satiated in my fix, I let the record run through. Lo and behold, earworm #2 (that damn football related cutout commercial) is track #5: "Chelsea Dagger."

Long story short, pretty good band (they are doing SXSW in March).

I've tried to deny them so many times, but they are indeed a pretty good band. I haven't seen them live (I hear they're great) but on live TV they sound incredible, which is an amazing feat on its own...

yeah I've heard good things about them...I really need to check them out.

"It's not the band I hate, it's their fans"...despite the hype machine and the probable horde of idiot fans, I still think they're pretty good. They'll never ever be a favourite, but compared to a lot of bands the hype machine has been rolling out...I dunno...
