Placebo covers Kate Bush

squeezle and I were watching Bones last night when they started playing "Running up that Hill" (very dramatic scene w/ buring body). To me, it sounded like Brian Molko's voice, but I wasn't aware that Placebo had covered the song. Lo and behold, a google search later and, sho nuff, they have covered it.

Much more ominous than Kate's original.

yeah, it was on that re-released extra disc of sleeping with ghosts they did about three years ago, along with lots of other (mainly dubious) stuff.
i still much prefer the original though.

Bah. She's whiny and Kevin Shields-esque in her fanaticism towards perfection. That's annoying.

this isn't bad; he kind of sounds a bit nasal, and i still prefer the original, but this is an interesting take on it....

they played it on the oc earlier this season too. yes, i still watch that show.
is bones any good? not that i need more tv to watch...

kate bush is the best all around female musician alive - and possibly ever
best cover of hers is futureheads' hound of love
Placebo's covers is soooooo pale in comparism to the original(I love everything by kate)
