that Mercury Rev have quietly released a new album? it's an all-instrumental soundtrack, and it has to be one of the most beautiful things they've ever done, period. it's just....so....disney? it's entitled 'hello, blackbird,' and you can stream it at http://www.mercuryrev.net in the 'vibrations' section

it's wonderful...don't know if it'll be released in the US or not....

Mr J... I was going to suggest www.cdwow.com if you want to buy a copy. They offer free international shipping.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to be spending the quid either coming from the US dollar right now. Today it was £1 = $1.95!!!

the secret migration's mediocrity (and i know this is a controversial thing to say) made me decide to never, ever spend the money buying an official, new LP on import again. that LP was just so boring. the only thing i liked about the record came when i unknowingly received a copy of the limited 2-cd edition on it. their cover of nico's 'afraid' made it somehow worthwhile.

$1.95?!?!

Well, I'm glad my paycheck being worth less can make Amy and Dog happy.

I'm sure Jackie is loving that too.

*huff*

Me, too.

Speaking of dollars-to-quid, has anyone noticed a "new trend" of eBay sellers from within the US charging GBP instead of dollars? This really kicks you in the crotch for shipping. I guess they are targeting UK customers, but I have passed on a number of auctions lately because I don't want to pay such excessive conversion rates to someone shipping from NYC or Utah!

All I'm thinking is that it's making Ostrich Skin boots around £220, which is highly affordable.

I hope it lasts. I better get on ebay then....
