cbgb's 1982

Music, movies, entertainment, etc. Because James wanted it (and seems like a pretty good idea)

I've always wondered how many so-called punk bands the Bad Brains blew off the stage and how many of them thought to themselves, well, we'll have to find something else to do now.

when i saw them in portsmouth, the support band never showed up!

that said, half the audience were expecting a reggae band and were a bit subdued during the likes of pay to cum and banned in dc.

That reminds me of the time I went to see JSBX at the Gypsy Tea Room, and it was apparent that a lot of people thought they were a genuine blues act...so many khaki Dockers and company Polo shirts holding their ears and running for the door...that was about as entertaining as JSBX...

My knowledge of punk is woefully lacking; I've never really heard / seen these guys before. But they're badasses.

Thanks Eebs!

Excuse my ignorance, but does JSBX stand for something?

And Eebs, I can see why the support band would be intimidated. Thanks for this link! I'm still punk at heart.

Thanks! Now, I've heard of that band, but never seen the initials.
