if you're only familiar with 'closing time' you should totally check out their myspace page, and discover that it's quite obvious that their record label really failed the band, because they had plenty of other wonderful songs. 'singing in my sleep' should have been bigger than it was.

i actually saw mr big in concert with bad english. i always have thought of billy sheehan as a great bassist. i think he played with david lee roth during his first solo tour after leaving van halen. steve vai was his guitarist. his triple neck heart shaped guitar was crazy.
