when flamewars go funny

Music, movies, entertainment, etc. Because James wanted it (and seems like a pretty good idea)

A Gamelan is a balinese xylophone type instrument. You can see them in the bottom picture of that blog entry. I typically like Gamelan sounds, but I think it'll make Eisley sound even worse than they currently do.

correct me if i'm wrong, but i believe that there was gamelan on the Spork's "Mercury Tea"

and i agree w/aquaphase. i think it's a bad idea. not because eisley sucks, but because when you play around w/something just because it 'sounds cool,' rarely does it sound good, re: "norwegian wood" and "paint it black," two songs which have sitar, the authors of both later distanced themselves from, because they didn't think they sounded good.
