we found a memorial on the walk back to the town centre
it turned out that Amy's grandad was in this division (we knew he was stationed in Yeovil for a while before A Day which is close to Mere)

then we went to Glastonbury (and it started to rain...) and i took this picture from the abbey (well worth a visit) of the tor....

eebs....your pics are great.....this is exactly what I'd like to see the day I go to England....(or United Kingdom if you prefer).......the landscape is just beautiful and I love love love love the old monuments, churches, castles and houses!!!!
