my ride backed out to go to the grandaddy instore (damn responsible adult person, not wanting to go because he had to work the second day of his new job), and i don't get the WB so i can't see the season finale of Gilmore Girls (with Sonic Youth, Joe Pernice, and Sparks), and i thought boston legal wasn't going to be on tonight, what with that movie about the bird flu coming on.
but it is on tonight, with a special new guest...Parker Posey! so, like, that's all it takes for a tuesday night to NOT suck.

and if you are going to the Grandaddy instore tonight and you see Tim DeLaughter, make sure and ask him where the forum went!

I went, I saw that guy, and we exchanged pleasantries. It was a lovely event, sorry you had to miss it.

I was sorry I had to miss Boston Legal. That has become one of my favorite TV shows. Shatner and Spader are hysterical, and the writing is just off the hook. And Parker Posey too, wow. Is she a recurring character or just a one shot thing?

i'm actually disappointed about it. i had a friend who was going to go with some people, but he had to work last night and didn't tell me until yesterday afternoon, and i couldnt get in touch with the people that were riding with him.

and it's not like i'm *intentionally* avoiding social scenes. dallas is 130 miles away. gas is expensive. and my car, while fuel efficient, has a rather small gas tank. a round trip to dallas and back could easily cost 75-100 bucks. that's why we were going to carpool.

i know. i have an awesome excuse. i suck and I work overnights monday and tuesday, so i was sleeping. see, excuses.
