i shall retire to the study to work on this m'lady.

in the meantime i doth bequest that thou engagest the services of the local church choir for a rendition of the popular music hall song 'how much is that ace of spades in the window' by baron kilminster and his philthy philthy folk. a regular favourite of mine after a flagon of port and some brandy at my gentlemen's club.

This thing requires way too much thinking for my taste. I would definitely by your soundtrack, Dalya. :D

Funeral Scene
This World is Not My Home, as sung by His Name is Alive.

EDIT: oh, and Flashback/Montage Scene - America, Simon and Garfunkle. Because Dayla's Celia reference make me think of it.

And Me and Julio (though I don't even know if that's the actual name of the song) should be in there somewhere too. Maybe HS Graduation.

fuck i forgot about America. i'd put that for the homesick scene i think. or the riding-in-the-car-in-silence-and-the-tension-is-palpable scene.

Waking-Up Scene - Swim - The Glands
Mental Breakdown Scene - Russian Hill - Jellyfish
Is "Swim" the one that starts with the alarm clock? Nice!

- Mere "I imagine lots of slow flashbacks and red-tinted film stock for the 'Russian Hill' Mental Breakdown Scene. . . maybe while the character is riding on a train and staring out a window" 1975

"You'll have to wait until my cameo in the next season for confirmation" - eebs
"I'm one of my favorite things!" - irock

Nope, that's "Livin' Was Easy", which I thought about picking...Swim is the upbeat one that goes on about "Hey hey Joe, whatcha know?" etc. Has great lines like "my heart is in the right place but my head is in a mess" and "she don't think you look smart but you're dressin' for success". I hope they come out with that new album. It's been far too long.

That's pretty much the perfect description of what I was thinking, as Russian Hill is a rather mellow tune....juxtaposition.

I'm going to do this again, but with all XTC songs.

I understand the first one. Quite frankly, I could switch that one out.

But Miniature Sun is actually about said subject, and the disjunctness of the music and 2 against 3 creates tension, which would be appropriate for said scene.

And I'm avoiding King For A Day. I don't think it fits any of the categories well enough over other tracks. Complicated Game barely won out over some others, but I don't attribute King For A Day to being deep in thought.
