"The treatment of Bush has been a disgrace"

Re: "The treatment of Bush has been a disgrace"
i treat a president with respect when he treats the country with respect.
and until yesterday, the entire world thought we were a bunch of idiots supporting an idiot president.

wow. the bush bashing has nothing to do with that this guy thinks. it's more we're treating him how we feel he is treating us.

Re: "The treatment of Bush has been a disgrace"
that article is actually right-on. i mean, seriously, what did you think on january 20, 2001? i know what i thought, 'this man is an idiot,' and i know that a lot of people who voted for Gore did so, too. i'm pretty sure there was no respect for the man from day one. so...that being said, think back to what you thought of him. i bet it's the same. as unseemly as it may be, i actually voted for Gore in 2000. i only became conservative after 9/11.
while this post may seem like it, i'm not defending him. i'm just saying it's extremly disingenuous to say that it's Bush's fault he has been treated that way, that he's the one who made people hate him, when, in fact, many people who hate him hated him for day one, before he even took office.

Not hate, but yeah, like when he was running for office and when he was governor of Texas. For me, anyway.when, in fact, many people who hate him hated him for day one, before he even took office.

Like when one of his first acts as governor was to legalize concealed handguns?

I agree that a pre-existing bias does indeed exist. I've not been fond of him since way way back in the Rangers ownership days.

He couldn't run a company and keep it afloat. How did anyone think he could run a state -- or the country?!

well, his pre-political failures are nothing compared to the ones of good ol' Honest Abe....at least Bush had success when he decided to go into politics...Lincoln, heck, the fates couldn't have been screaming louder....He couldn't run a company and keep it afloat. How did anyone think he could run a state -- or the country?!

Abe didn't have the spending power Bushie did. It's a lot easier to get into the show when you can buy the seat.well, his pre-political failures are nothing compared to the ones of good ol' Honest Abe....at least Bush had success when he decided to go into politics...Lincoln, heck, the fates couldn't have been screaming louder....He couldn't run a company and keep it afloat. of course, nowadays, you buy the Presidency. After all, Obama did, too. I'm not knocking his character, but he did have a substantially bigger wallet than McCain.Abe didn't have the spending power Bushie did. January 20, 2001 wasn't 'day one' of his political carreer.
Don't tell me, I know - you were so PROFOUNDLY affected it caused you to finally see the light and ammend your ways. It broke your heart, and since then your heart's been broken a billion other times, because you're going through best friends like water and you can't figure out why because YOU NEVER EVEN DISCUSS POLITICS!!
It must be really hard being you.
Ah. so I'm sure that was a well thought out decision that wasn't reactionary or emotional at all then.i only became conservative after 9/11.

I get more concerned with the source of the funding.of course, nowadays, you buy the Presidency. After all, Obama did, too. I'm not knocking his character, but he did have a substantially bigger wallet than McCain.

Yeah, like how often does a Democrat get the chance to spend more on a campaign than a Republican?of course, nowadays, you buy the Presidency. After all, Obama did, too. I'm not knocking his character, but he did have a substantially bigger wallet than McCain.
