My parents cooked a nice lamb for seder last night. They do it every year with their prayer group.

My class last night lasted until 9:30, so we had Charoset and Egg matzos to celebrate Passover while we talked about famine in Brazil.

i met a gianese girl at our sedar, at mom's friend's house, where we concluded the night with a HUGE dessert of almond-matzoh brittle, dark chocolate dipped matzoh, and an array of other things including mexican pink marshmallow snacks.

we're having our seder tonight, my sister couldn't get here till late last night so we didn't bother.

i heard this jewish girl on NPR last night saying how inter-religious seders make her uncomfortable (like inviting christians to your seder) because the christians are like "wow, this is what jesus did THOUSANDS OF YEARS AGO" and she said it made her feel like an actress at a renaissance fair. i thought that was funny. and also true.

i think its funnier when christians dont know jesus was jewish. (but also pathetic.)

passover is actually one of my favorite holidays because its basically about how everyone wants to kill the jews but we're still here so fuck you guys! (to paraphrase...)

um...i had a peanut butter sammich...and considered putting bacon on it, as per aqua's recommendation (it is delish)...so...umm...that's what i had.

p.s. I have to tell you my favorite Passover memory..well, seeing as how I'm gentile it's really my ONLY Passover memory. When I was in college at the extremely WASPish Southern Methodist University, my freshman English teacher was a lovely Jewish lady who delighted in sharing her heritage with the goyim. During Passover season, she brought in some of that charoset and matzah for us to try. At first everyone was taking tiny bits to taste, just to be polite. But, after everyone got a taste, then it got passed around a second time with much more enthusiasm. Some of the boys were even taking whole pieces of the matzah cracker and making charoset sandwiches! I'm not sure if that was the proper way to eat the stuff, but our teacher certainly got a kick out of watching us - and no leftovers to cart home.
