i fucking told everyone dallas would be fine.
I WIN, JUSTIN!!!!!
50 mile an hour winds my ass. I don't know how the fucking meteorologists get their jobs. wind can't continue at that speed once it hits land unless it is part of a tornado, in which case it didn't start in cuba, it started probably in fort worth. it drizzled all day. wa wa (debbie downer sound). i think dallas will survive.
p.s. sorry, houston, galveston, cuba, and surrounding areas.
no fun.

Sis, I agree that you win, but we got hammered with some serious rain and enough wind to take down some big branches in the neighborhood. I'm not welching on our bet, but it was a tad more than is the norm for September. It was more like a May thing. Granted, I'm way gracious that we didn't get hammered like they said we were going to.
I'll buy you a vodka & soda next week at Barley when I get back from the California.

Thank you, bro. You're a very gracious loser.
And yes I'm glad a tree didn't fall on my car... or into my apartment.
And glad I live inland.
OH I ALMOST FORGOT. I saw the cutest thing ever on Saturday afternoon. Two ducks, a boy and girl, were crossing the street together in the rain. When they got to the grass they sat in a puddle and shook their tail feathers. A good day for ducks! I actually squealed as I watched them.

If they weren't heading for our pool (reference: squeezle vs. the ducks) then more power to them. Otherwise, there are some really awesome crispy duck spring rolls at the hotel I'm staying at here in California.

Does this warrant a trip to the New San Dor Chinese restaurant in Plano to have their Duck Three Ways dish?
(Actually, I hope not because I wasn't crazy about it.)
