It really is Japan's answer to American Gladiators.

Also, context for the first video: that guy had failed to do the final challenge many times before (I think seven or eight?) in previous Ninja Warrior shows before finally doing it this time. It was kind of a big deal.

Ninja Master is good, but I like that crazy obstacle course show where in addition to the physical challenges they have to solve some sort of TEST OF THE MIND.

I think the SUPIDA WALKUU is more fascinating, but mostly because i want to know what the magic stuff they spray on their hands is made out of.
