cuz this place is dead...


me: I'm getting ready for coachella and trying to figure out how to make lots of money...alas I've still spinning my wheels on the last one.

in the next three weeks i have to:
1. study for my comprehensive MA exam on May 2
2. create a poster presentation for the analysis of 30 physician interviews about explanatory models for acute bronchitis in healthy adults and have a comparison with 30 patient interviews on the same topic
3. write a fifteen page paper on the explanatory models that physicians have for acute bronchitis in healthy adults
4. prepare a 15 minute power point presentation and a 20 page paper on narratives of the negotiation of hope in diagnosis of chronic illnesses
5. do my regular course work that consists of many pages of reading and two 3 page papers a week
6. grade a barrage of quizzes and final exams
7. find three new chapters for the next edition of my mentors edited volume on gender and sex roles in cross-cultural perspective
8. create and mail a newsletter
9. explain to a constant stream of bratty undergrads why they are not special enough to get into a class that has been full for weeks
10. watch lost, heros, house, grey’s anatomy, etc.
11. play with the kitties
12. eat
13. sleep

i am taking driver's ed and pretty soon i will finally have my permit and not too long after that: a license. hooooshit

i still bowl every saturday.

taks tests are next week which i am not worried about because i will ace them and never have to take them again.

i am trying to get a job somewhere, SOMEHOW. but so far i have failed.

and that's about it. i'm boring.

sounds like a plan to me. though i don't watch house...i do need to catch up on my netflix though.

Make an entry for your school's film festival.
Rewrite entry, because a movie about throwing a suicide party is inappropriate for school.
Apply to universities you don't really want to go to for programs you couldn't imagine doing.
Feel smug about not learning how to drive because you don't want to waste your time on a skill that will be useless when the oil reserve fails.
Stay at home while your dad runs the Boston Marathon. Throw wicked parties?

I just to figure out how to eliminate the work part from my schedule and I'll be sorted.

1. Narrowly escaped being one of 17,000 Citi employees to lose her job (How? not sure)

2. Preparing home for sale with projects we should have done earlier

3. Looking for new home (and we found the one we like! AND I KNOW THE COUPLE from TCU! Weird. . . )

4. Comparing refinance, mortgage and loan rates and doing lots of math in my head

5. Missing the first week of class, and having 4 administrators track me down to find out why

6. Class

7. Getting my car back from body shop (and now the windshield is cracked )

8. Getting in an argument with a homeless guy at my trash dumpster who called me a racist

1. PTA (planning, teaching and assessment) assignment (1000 words)

4. Special Interest project (3000) words

7. Read and make notes on a novel for English

But I have finished it all! Yay! Now I can have a few days rest before term starts again on Monday. We've got two more weeks at college then we're into our final 8 week placement- after that I'll be a qualified teacher! Scary thought.

Congrats on the home finding and the bullet dodging. New house stuff is exiting! Wedding stuff is even more exciting!
7 & 8 are the kind of things that make me worry about wanting to live in the city (not the windshield crack but the fact that you were in a pile up in the first place).

My list:
1. Work - I've been getting more done since it's been so dead around here.
2. School
3. I'm also costantly cruising the realty sites and doing math in my head about home loans, 401k loans, money market accounts, etc. But that's just because I can be obsessive like that.
4. I saw 300. At Movie Tavern.
5. They fed me chicken by mistake and it was dark and I ate nearly half od the sandwich before I realized it.
6. Tonight I have to go to a bachelorette party for someone I don't really like much (no, not Meredith). The bride actually kinda snubbed me when I ran into her fiance @ Movie Tavern, where we both saw 300.
7. I realized my very favorite frozen spinach tamales that I've been eating for years apparently changed their reciepe God knows when and now has something called "MEAT FAT" in it. Probably horse.
8. Monday Jason and I went to see Dana at Opening Bell Coffee (which is a cute place and you should all check it out).
9. Sunday = EdgeFest.
10. Next weekend I'm going to the wedding associated with #6, and then back to Opening Bell Coffee to see my friend Sam.
11. Scarborough on the 28th.

See, I can look busy! I know it's nothing compared wo Squeezle and Mere's lists, but it sure seems like I'm always busy.

also, I got Jen's CD last night, which I haven't listened to yet but the track list has me excited!
