(though I am awful fond of the Vandals' xmas record... mostly because it causes revulsion amongst the unknowing.)

I love that one.

But for my favorite I'm going to have to go with Bing Crosby's Christmas Toast.

For my least favorite.... I don't know, I love Christmas!

Favourites: O Come, O Come Emmanuel, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, O Tannenbaum, Greensleeves, O Holy Night

Least Favourite: Away In A Manger, Carol Of The Bells, Do You Hear What I Hear?, The Little Drummer Boy, Joy To The World

I find it funny I like all the religious songs best, because I honestly could give a shit they're religious. But they're so melodically and harmonically well-written it's hard to deny their greatness. They've stood the test of time for a reason.

The least favourite are least favourites due to bad experiences. You figure it out...

I don't like it when people strain for the "I" in "Do you hear what I hear?"

- Mere "what about 'It's Christmaaaaassssssss!'" 1975

these are songs, not Carols.

Favourites: In the Bleak Midwinter, O Come O Come Emmanuel, Coventry Carol, Ding! Dong! Merrily on High, Personent Hodie

James is right, the trad. carols and the Victorian arrangements are amazing because of the sheer musical proficiency displayed in their composition. I love Christmas carols so so so so so much.

Carol of the bells, for sure. And the twelve days of Christmas.

I still love O Holy Night and Ave Maria.
