I think "fresh perspective" is the new term for "my daddy said..."

QUESTION.....i have been trying to come to terms with the timing of the resignation.
on one hand, the republican party would look weak by rumsfeld resigning before the election, thus hurting the parties chances.
on the other hand, might it have helped the party if rumsfeld resigned a week ago. then some in the middle might believe bush is trying to make things right thus making them vote red when they might have been leaning to the big blue.
hmmm????

I doubt they would have had Rumsfield resign if they hadn't lost so many seats. Business would have remained as usual for them. Their hand was forced and better for them (GOP) to do damage control first or risk Rumsfield being called upon for all sorts of questioning...which may still happen, I don't quite know how that works.
I have the urge to post this:

but which disfunctional passive-aggressive white house relationship is most similar?
-eh, just caught myself misspelling white house as shite house, freudian?
Anyway, I agree that the GOP'ers are trying to head off congressional investigations. Probably a mistake for the Dems to push this issue now. They need to get busy on cleaning up what they can, if they can.

Trying to understand political decisions is like trying to understand corporate math. Forget everything you know.QUESTION.....i have been trying to come to terms with the timing of the resignation.
edit: oh, I forgot the most important part. After you forget everything you know, you have to stick your head up your ass.
