Perry hates Jews
I myself am hell;
nobody’s here—
nobody’s here—
He may pity the fate of Jews, Muslims and infidels of all types. Or not.
I bet he does know that if he voiced a nuanced or sophisticated opinion about divinity and the afterlife, he would lose at least half of his "base." I'm not saying he has a nuanced or sophisticated opinion, only that he knows the political consequences of that sort of thing.

Actually, I give him pounts for honesty. Most religions say that about most other religions, but most religious people won't admit it, esp. if they're politicians.he said that all non-christians are going to hell.
But he's still probably a closet Nazi.

none of the people at my highschool were shy about telling me i was going to hell. but then they'd back-track and second guess themselves since I'm one of the "chosen people". apparently there isn't a general concensus on what happens to the jews. the southern baptists definitely think we're going to hell, but others don't.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xs52NESkKQQ funny clip from stanhope on religion that I hadn't seen until this week (for all you that know I link to him 9 times a week)Unless you believe in "hell", I don't think it matters if anyone else thinks that's where you are headed after death. Those people also believe that their religion's doctrine applies to everyone in the world.

Specific to Texas, the Governor has to swear to belief in a supreme being, nothing more definitive than that. Some states are more specific. I don't think it's actually enforceable (pesky Constitution).i doubt he has any christian beliefs. i was listening to NPR and they were talking about how there is like a religious litmus test before you can get elected in this country. thats so sad and true.
Here is an interesting quote, from the 1796 Treaty with Tripoli drafted under Pres. George Washington and signed by Pres. John Adams:
As the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion - as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion or tranquility of Muslims - and as the said states never have entered into any war or act of hostility against any Muslim nation, it is declared by the parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.

I think you have a place in heaven just like any other spiritual, non-violent person does. Eric Rudolph was blowing up people because of his fundamentalist Christian beliefs. He is not going to heaven, and neither are any other violent religious types.apparently there isn't a general concensus on what happens to the jews. the southern baptists definitely think we're going to hell, but others don't.

Sure he can. If he accepts Jesus Christ as his saviour and is sorry for killing those people. Lots of people who believe that. That's why there are so many "jailhouse conversions".

Oh, right. I forgot about the "being saved" clause. But if he's already a convert, can you be "saved" more than once?Eric Rudolph was blowing up people because of his fundamentalist Christian beliefs. He is not going to heaven, and neither are any other violent religious types.

the great nothingnessSo where will you end up in the afterlife then?well, i don't believe in heaven.
(the question does presuppose that you believe in an afterlife. That might be the issue right there)
