I Say "Mid" You Say "-Term Elections!"

Postby NerfHerder » Mon Nov 06, 2006 10:48 pm

WILL THE DEMS TAKE THE HOUSE AND SENATE AWAY FROM THE GREGARIOUS REPUBLICANS?

WILL THE VOTING MACHINES WORK?

WHO WILL RIG THE ELECTION? AND HOW?

WHY ARE PUNDITS ASKING "IS THIS A REFERENDUM ON THE PRESIDENT?!?!?!" WHEN PRETTY MUCH EVERY MIDTERM ELECTION IS?

WHY AREN'T YOU VOTING?

HEY ISN'T THIS THE ONE WHERE KINKY DOESN'T BECOME GOVERNOR?

I think it's somewhat hilarious that the Mark Foley thing has died down, but people are still talking about Kerry's botched Iraq joke. Ummm, priorities people!

In addition, who the fuck cares about Kerry anymore? He was a shitty Presidential candidate that nobody really wanted to be President anyway. He couldn't even be "Anybody but Bush" in 2004 and now his comments are causing scorn for the rest of the Democratic party?

It's no big deal, really. What a dumbass Senator in Taxachusettes says is not going to affect how I (or anyone else) am going to vote in my local elections for candidates that watch their tounges.

I don't love him but I see the long-term necessity of keeping American troops in Iraq.

In addition, an anomaly for my liberal self: I think I'll be voting for more Republicans than Democrats this election and I feel really good about it (?) !

I'm no Republican, though, friends.

In all the big races (US House, US Senate, Governor) I'm voting for the Democrats. But these local moderate Republicans just have better (and more realistic) ideas for fixing Southeastern Ohio.

Republicans like to dwell. The "Republicans" I know (I suspect they only identify themselves as such to irk me) still can't stop talking about Clinton.
Now that they've taken the time to memorize Kerry's name, they're going to get at least eight years out of it.

But Dems will be bashing Bush until forever so this "make fun of Kerry for a little longer because its the only bad thing the Democrats have done in a while and the election is tomorrow" thing isn't so bad.
