i'd be happy with a B average at Harvard or Brown, but if I got Bs at UTD it would only be because of laziness.
that's a lie. I want to get A's at Harvard and brag about it till I die, driving everyone around me insane.
p.s. someone tell me where to apply/if i should apply to transfer

I have a Fort Worth acquaintaince whose daughter is a freshman at Brown. You reminded me that I need to give her (the mom) a call and see how she (the daughter) is doing. She applied for early decision and got in. (She was a National Merit Finalist.)

So was I, last time I was a nerd.
Well, clearly I've always been a nerd. I just took 13 years off between high school and Art Institute from having my nerdiness show up on my report card.
I don't know what happened to me at TCU. I'd get a 2.5 one semester, then a 3.8.

(By the way, Tracy -- you asked the other day and I forgot to reply that I wasn't in the TCU Band.)

Oh, my average is totally out of laziness. Or as I like to call it, "the law of diminishing returns." Here's the way I see it:
Where:
Full Time (plus) Job = A
Part Time School = B
Personal Life = C
Increased Future Earnings Potential / Hiring Prospects = X
A + B + C = X
OR
A + 1.5B + .5C = 1.1X
OR
A + 2B = 1.2X
So you see, as C diminishes and B increases, X increases as well, but only by a factor of B50:X1.
See, I did learn something in Econ and Algebra! Now Steve can check my work. I'm guessing I'll get a B.

i was a national merit semi-finalist. if i got one more point on the PSATs i would have been a finalist. ONE. how's that for sucking? I'd be at Yale right now hanging out with Rory if I had only known what a "cravat" is. Poor me.
Major history test tomorrow. Let's see if I can keep up the nerdiness. I didn't do that well on the last one, so I'm praying for an A+. Come on, jeebus.

I spent five hours on Saturday and six hours yesterday working on papers and projects and homeworks. Going to school full time and working 30 hours a weeks is really taking its toll on my weekends.
It's funny how I am making As now even though it's way harder and I'm way busier than I was a couple of years ago. I guess I was immature and unmotivated.

Did Jeebus help you on that test? How'd it go?
