on the way home my mom and i saw some protesters lined up on the side of the road holding signs that said "abortion hurts women" and something like "jesus heals and forgives" or something.

I heartily endorse our American tradition of constitutionally protected rights of free speech and peacable assembly. As a show of support for the exercise of these rights, I rollled down the windows, shouted obscenities and made rude hand gestures at the protestors. I'm sure they were touched.

Yep, on University - not far from that huge monstrosity Denton Bible Church. Apparently, there was some national event on Sunday where people all over did a "life chain" to protest abortion.in denton?????
I don't know the significance of the day they picked, but I give them props for being willing to miss the Cowboy game for their convictions.

especially since it's surrounded (on three sides) by some of the poorest, most violent parts of denton.

Used to pass protesters on Forest Ln on my way to high school all the time. One of the doctor's in question lived somewhere between Hillcrest and Preston and would regularly have people out front with posters and whatnot. They got a restraining order when one of them accosted his wife in their garage.
Bring that up the next time we have an awkward political conversation with my dad please. The other day, he claimed that the "Religious Right" has only committed violence against one abortion clinic, and it was decades ago and it was one guy, who wasn't even religious. They got a restraining order when one of them accosted his wife in their garage.

You think that's bad? My grandma is a racist, but she's been a member of the Liberal party all her life. She's not even racist in the cute, "oh, those coloured boys are so funny" way, she's racist in the "who are these people coming to our country wearing turbans and why can't they be like me" way.

i know of at least 3 doctors who performed abortions who were murdered. one was murdered in his home by a sniper rifle and the bullet almost killed his son after it passed through him.The other day, he claimed that the "Religious Right" has only committed violence against one abortion clinic, and it was decades ago and it was one guy, who wasn't even religious.
nice.
