Kinky Friedman and Jesse Ventura.
Cool! Did you like either one politically?

Cookies n cream.

Yeah I'm a big Kinky supporter. I collected signatures to get him on the ballot. For some reason I thought Jesse Ventura would have cleaned up his look since he was elected to governor, but he had a looong goatee and he looked more like a wrestler than a politician. I know Kinky's campaign manager was also Ventura's campaign manager. I wonder if that's why he's here campaigning with Kinky?

if kinky wants to be taken seriously as a candidate, then it is a political mistake being linked to Ventura. Ventura was elected based upon tough talk and...then run out of town for being a horrible governor...and voters see that novelty politician and the associations are made....

i saw the two of them on the news last night. jesse looks wacky as hell. nowhere near the clean shaven look he had as governor. he looks more like a pirate now. might be kinda scary if i was a young child.

I know that most or all of you (except for Sybil) don't remember Texas governor Bill Clements but that's exactly what I thought of him. I imagined busloads of kids going to the Austin to tour the capitol and meeting the gov and them crying as the official photographer snapped their photo because he looked so mean. :x

Out of curiosity, I looked him up on Yahoo Image Search and found this:

There's a Ding Dong, Texas near Lampasas (I think). Wonder if the citizens of Dumas knew that.
