...phylicia rashad (the mom from the cosby show) and constanza romero (august wilson's wife) at the huntington theatre's premiere of radio golf by august wilson.
the show was AMAZING, the afterparty was sweet, and meeting famous people is so weird. constanza was a doll, and i think phylicia was just sick of random people being like "hi!" all nervously. crazy.

That's really cool, Katie! I bet that was exciting.
The more famous people you meet, the less you'll be nervous about it and be able to try to say thanks for your work and things like that. I still have problems with some people that are my favorites, but put me in interview mode and I'm fine.

it was easier to talk to constanza because i didn't know her face, just her name and reputation. phylicia rashad was stutter-worthy because i grew up watching her face on tv and to see her in 3D was nuts. i think she thought i was crazy. but i could actually speak in front of constanza and tell her how important i thought her husband's play was and how it made me understand black culture on a level i never did before. if you ever have the chance to see radio golf, do it. it was great.

claire huxtable is my role model. i especially like when she told vanessa that just because her parents were rich, it didn't mean she was.

Speaking of Phylicia Rashad...her sister, Debbie Allen, comes to Fort Worth every year and does holds auditions for dance workshops and puts on a production. Does she do that up there, too, or are we just
special?
