Death Scene: "Memory Gongs" -- Budd/Fraser/Guthrie/Raymonde
Is this Harold Budd?
yeah, it's from moon and the melodies, the collaboration he did with the cocteau twins, from '86.

He's the best. He did a great collaberation with Andy Partridge, and of course there's always The Plateaux of Mirrors AKA Brian Eno's Ambient 2, which I actually like better than Music For Airports.

What a genius. He played his last ever live performance in Brighton last year. I didn't go. I feel dumb.

'retirement' is a state of mind. he put out an album last year, saying it was his last, but since then he's recorded a new record, he recorded a collaboration for the soundtrack of 'mysterious skin,' and recently he and the cocteau twins' robin guthrie have recorded a third collaboration.

methinks he'll probably play live again.

i dunno. he said he was going to continue working with people in the studio, but not play live anymore. which leads me to think he's telling the truth on that front.

it doesn't matter, provided he does some musical collaberations with me sometime :)
